My Favorite Quotes Of The Week

Pacman Jones , an NFL defensive back that has been suspended for almost a year becasue he kept going to stirp clubs, fighting, and even being involved in a triple shooting, had this little nugget to say yesterday on the Michael Irvin radio show: "It ain't no sin to go to the strip club." To which Michael responded: "I believe it is a sin; it's just not against the law," Irvin told Jones. "If not, I'm going to call God on it." And... Hillary Clinton's account of what went down on a trip to Bosnia: "I remember landing under sniper fire. There was supposed to be some kind of a greeting ceremony at the airport, but instead we just ran with our heads down to get into the vehicles to get to our base." The actual events: News footage of the event however showed her claims to have been wide of the mark, and reporters who accompanied her stated that there was no sniper fire. Her account was ridiculed by ABC News as "like a scene f

My LOST 4.08 Review

I couldn't be more thrilled that one of my favorite characters finally made his long awaited return to LOST world last night when Michel..err...Kevin Johnson filled in all the gaps of his 1 1/2 seasons hiatus. Last nights show featured another first for LOST, instead of their usual flash back and forths that we've all grown accustom to, instead we were treated to one loooong flash-back with no interruption. First things I noticed or theories then I'll leave you with a great reap and theroy from another Lostie, Robert Dougherty. 1) My gut tells me that Michael/Kevin is up to something. I think he is using Ben to get back to the island more then just to kill himself. I think he realizes that saving the other 815ers is his way or for him to reach the island and stay is the only way he'll have true redemption. I just don't think he plans on going through with Ben's plans. 2) I think Carl is dead but Rousseau will live. I also think Rousseau is not being completely h

His Story: "CBS' "Come on and watch some basketball"

One of my favorite sports radio host Steve Czaban ( http://www.czabe.com/ ) retold an awesome story this morning of a little song he wrote last year. Steve wrote it to the CBS tune for the NCAA Tournament. You know the one that begins every CBS broadcast of the tourney. ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hkaS6sgbEg4&feature=related  ) So here is the original story along with Czabe's awesome lyrics. Enjoy. "About a week ago before I went off to Vegas to go 1-7 on the Sweet 16 I was feeling a little bit silly. So decided to author the “lost lyrics” to the CBS basketball theme. Of course, there ARE no lyrics, but it didn’t prevent me from jotting down some idiotic booze-fueled diddies in my hotel room, and attributing it all to the “Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass” with a fictional “original” version of the song called… “Come On And Watch Some Basketball…” I knew that 98% of my radio audience would see it for what it was: a complete, stupid, and perhaps slightly funny

My ACC, KOD, ABC, KJV

After the first round of the ACC tourney, it looked like the Mike G. Kiss Of Death would strike in epidemic proportions this time around. After the first day my picks were 1-3. Amazingly the KOD took Friday off and my picks went 3-1. Now we're down to the final 4 and the only question left is how long UNC can avoid the KOD? It's now official, ABC has cancelled the funniest new show this season when they sent "Carpoolers" to the garage. On top of that they decided, because of the writers strike, to shorten LOST by 3 episodes and move it to 10pm. ABC is killing me. I only watch 2-3 hours of TV a week, is the KOD now stalking not only my favorite sports teams and picks by my TV shows too? Speaking of LOST, now that I've had a day or two to digest the last episode, I've developed my own theories into the mystery surrounding the death of Jin. The tombstone said Jin died the day of the crash which obviously is a lie because a) we see him on the island alive long aft

My LOST Review 4.7

LOST was once again amazing last night with the the final (?) Oceanic Six revealed, Jin's death, and Michael's return. As always I turned to the guys at Dark UFO for their thoughts and theories after the show. Vozzek69 again came through with some great insights and things that make you go uhmmmm. Below are his thoughts posted on "darkufo". Things I Noticed: The 815’ers have an awesome breakfast bar. They may not be as comfy as Locke’s camp, but it looks like Jack’s side of the island got the bulk of the Dharma flakes. As each episode goes by, that little breakfast bar gets better and better. Looking closely, I think I even saw Charlotte working a blender. It was nice to at least see one character from that camp willing to sidestep the usual junk and demand some direct answers. Last week I wanted to strangle Jack when he once AGAIN let Juliet dodge questions and lead him blindly across the island without pressing her for answers. But Sun’s attitude this week was refre

My New Favorite KJV Preacher

Who says the King James Version of the Bible isn't relative in today's culture? How did this guy get a hold on my sermon notes for this coming Sunday? Please watch this clip in it's entirety. I'll post my thoughts on the KJV and this guy later this week. Thanks Joel for passing this along.

His Story: March of Dimes

The following is an email from my friend Rick I wanted to pass along... Hello, I will be participating in March of Dimes March for Babies, the walk that has been saving babies for more than 30 years. I am walking to raise funds to support research and that could halt the escalating number of premature births - up 27% since 1981. As some of you know, August 24, 2004 my son Logan was born 3.5 months premature. So I`m walking for him. He is doing a lot better now. He was born at 1lb 6oz. He was finally able to come home May of 2005. He is doing so much better this year. He can now roll over and get on his hands with his head high in the air. We think he has said his first word (of course it was Mom). The nurses are encourging us, telling us that they think he will be able to walk someday. He is still way behind, but will eventually catch up. Logan was able to do his first walk last year (well in a stroller), hopefully this will be his first walk in his wheelchair. If you would like to sup

My Worldly Thoughts On Life

I try to keep an open mind when it comes to politics, I really do. But my goodness, can the Democratic Party do anything else to lose this election and make bigger fools of themselves. After eight years of Republican rule, it’s safe to say the majority of the country would be happy if we never had another republican president. All the democrats had to do was roll out a corpse and he/she would have a great chance of winning. But they can’t even do that. Obama and Hillary are doing everything in their power to make sure McCain is our next president. Heck, the DNC can’t even figure out how to find their nominee. They have the most ridiculous system with delegates, super delegates, and votes in two states that didn’t even count (FL & MI) that may now be re-voted on. These people can’t even run their own party and some want them running our country? By the way, you do remember who is behind all of these shenanigans? The author of “I have a scream” Howard Dean. This may be the worst time

My Malaysian Office

For all the "Office" fans out there like myself that are counting down the days until the show comes back on, maybe this will hold you over...
