My Random Thoughts: The Office, Rocky, and Wake Forest

I can't wait!! I'm a huge "Rocky" fan. In my opinion, here are the five previous movies in order from best to worst:
Rocky 2

Rocky 4

The Office comes on at 8:35pm tonight and will last until 9:20pm. That's 45 awesome minutes!! Each week this season, every episode has been better then the last. Last week was no exception. Here are some great quotes in case you missed it:

Now onto Wake Forest. Last count, the Demon Deacs were 9-1. Regardless of what happens this weekend, it will all be on the line next Saturday at Maryland. The winner goes to the ACC championship game. If Wake wins out, they will be in a BCS bowl. Which for you non college football fans means that Wake Forest will end the year as one of the top 8 teams in the country. Now for all you "ACC football sucks" haters, check out the latest BCS standings. The ACC has 5 teams ranked in the top 25. The only other conference that can say that is the SEC which also has 5 and is considered by all to be the best football conference. Wake had played the best, beat the best, and are the best! Go Deacs!

Her Story: Does Satan really exist? Many United Methodists see evil as more subtle.

After spending much of my full time ministry life in the United Methodist Church, I found this article very interesting. It's written by Mary Jacobs and she nails the fact that most UMCers are scared to death to mention the "S" word (Satan) or the "D" word (Devil). Jesus stood up to him. Plenty of Christians talk about him. And some blame all sorts of evil on him. But likely you won’t hear his name tossed around much in a United Methodist Church. Could it be... After a subpar season of The Office (I'll blame the writers strike for that), last nights season four finale was not only the best Office finale yet but one of their best episodes ever.
